I was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma at the age of 26. I had been previously to the doctors about a lump that had appeared in 2017 where I was told my lump was benign and nothing to worry about after having an ultrasound scan.

In 2019 I noticed my lumps had multiplied and I had not only one, but probably about 6 lumps within my lower neck area, near my collarbone. I went back to see my GP and so he referred me to ENT where I would need a biopsy.

There had been talk of the lumps being TB or an infection but the biopsy had confirmed I had Hodgkins lymphoma.

I am now in remission after receiving chemotherapy treatment for 6 months at the Royal Marsden in Surrey. They looked after me and supported me so well throughout I couldn’t have asked for a better team. I didn’t have any major symptoms, only severe itching all over my body and the lumps.

If something feels wrong- please get it checked. Most of the time it will be nothing but your body & health are so important!
